A.J. Foyt is an icon in motorsports. He is the all-time winner of Indy car races and titles, first four-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, and the only man to win the Indianapolis 500, the 24 Hours of LeMans and the Daytona 500 auto races. However, when asked about what is most important to him, he always replies, “My family.” His son Larry and grandson A.J. Foyt IV created the Foyt Family Wines label to pay tribute to the family patriarch as they launched their first business venture together. It was born out of their passion for fine wine, but before wine it was racing that ignited their fire.

No. 67 Chardonnay
The No. 67 Chardonnay is complex blend of three different Chardonnay selections from Sonoma County. Each selection brings out different flavor profiles which produce a wonderful fusion of flavors on the finish. The body of the wine is layered with aromatics and tastes of citrus, lemon verbena, minerality, and a hint of glycerin on the finish.

No. 72 Meritage
The Foyt Family Wines No.72, 2008 Sonoma County Meritage is a Bordeaux style blend composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (73%), Merlot (18%), and Malbec (9%). The No. 72 was vinified in the traditional method of regular pump overs as part of the vinification process which extracts the fine dark color, firm tannins, and dark blackberry and spicy dark plum flavors. The wine was then pressed firmly to extract the deeper tannins in the skins, and then aged in a blend of 30% new French oak, Pennsylvania and Hungarian oak barrels and the remaining 70% in neutral aged oak barrels. Each varietal was fermented separately to allow maximum expression and optimum blending opportunities.

No. 77 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Foyt Family Wines introduces No.77, a wine featuring 100% Cabernet grapes from the esteemed Mt. Veeder, Napa Valley Appellation. The wine is aged in Alain Fouquet French Oak barrels for 3 years. This allows the massive fruit and tannin structure to mature into a complex and complete wine. The wine is dominated by blackberry cassis, blueberry and a hint of liquorice aromatics. The surrounding woodlands also influence the aromatics and pallate – the vineyard is surrounded by hundreds of acres of Redwoods, Manzanita, Madrone as well as White and Black Oak trees. This influence on the wine contributes to the dark berry and forest aromatics and gives the wine a unique sense of this mountain terrior.
